A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the Georgia State Society National Society Children of the American Revolution in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United State of America; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the year 2026 will mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, a pivotal moment in the establishment of the United States as a free and independent nation; and
WHEREAS, the National Society Children of the American Revolution, founded in 1895, is a patriotic youth organization dedicated to training good citizens, developing leaders, and promoting love of the United States of America and its heritage among young people; and
WHEREAS, Georgia State Society National Society Children of the American Revolution (G.S.S.N.S.C.A.R) has served since 1936 as a vital institution for instilling in the youth of Georgia a deep appreciation for our nation’s history, the sacrifices of our Founding Fathers, and the enduring principals of liberty, justice, and democracy; and
WHEREAS, as the United States of America approaches this historic milestone, G.S.S.N.S.C.A.R continues to lead meaningful initiatives and educational programs that honor the legacy of the American Revolution and promote civic engagement among the next generation of leaders; and
WHEREAS, the members and leadership of G.S.S.N.S.C.A.R, through their volunteerism, historical preservation efforts, and public service, exemplify the highest ideals of patriotism and contribute to the enrichment of Georgia’s civic and historical landscape; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to honor this distinguished organization for its ongoing commitment to the principals upon which our nation was founded, especially during this significant anniversary of our country’s birth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend the Georgia State Society National Society Children of the American Revolution for its outstanding contributions to the education and patriotic development of Georgia’s youth, and extend their sincere best wishes for continued success as the nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Georgia State Society National Society Children of the American Revolution.
