A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Community Supervision Officer Traci Whitaker, the
Department of Community Supervision 2025 Officer of the Year; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, founded on the tenets of public safety and progress, the Georgia Department
of Community Supervision commenced operations on July 1, 2015, through the passage of
House Bill 310; and
WHEREAS, Community Supervision Officer Traci Whitaker has honorably served the State
of Georgia for eleven years and has shown herself to be an outstanding embodiment of the
Department’s core values of selfless service, accountability, integrity, teamwork, and
professional development; and
WHEREAS, Officer Whitaker routinely goes above and beyond to provide efficient,
effective, selfless, and dedicated service to her coworkers and the State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, Officer Whitaker's commitment to public safety while helping create
opportunities for successful outcomes for the individuals she supervises serves as an example
for her fellow officers; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Community Supervision Officer Traci
Whitaker on being named the Department of Community Supervision’s 2025 Officer of the
Year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
Community Supervision Officer Traci Whitaker.
