A RESOLUTION
Recognizing February 5, 2026, as YouthBuild Day at the capitol; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, YouthBuild is a nationally recognized education and workforce development program serving young adults ages 16-24 who face barriers to education and employment; and
WHEREAS, the program plays a critical role in preparing young people for sustainable careers and civic engagement by allowing participants to earn their high school diploma, or equivalent, while receiving hands-on job training, leadership development, and opportunities for community service; and
WHEREAS, in Atlanta, YouthBuild is supported by the Atlanta Department of Labor and Employment Services, which is committed to strengthening the local workforce by expanding access to labor education, job training, and employment pathways; and
WHEREAS, through this partnership, YouthBuild participants gain industry-relevant skills that align with labor market needs while contributing positively to their communities; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this outstanding organization be appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize February 5, 2026, as YouthBuild Day at the capitol. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to YouthBuild.
