A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the Public Policy Club at Georgia State University for its commitment to civic engagement, public service, and policy education; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Public Policy Club at Georgia State University provides students with meaningful opportunities to engage with public policy, governance, and the legislative process at the local, state, and national levels; and
WHEREAS, the club serves as a nonpartisan forum for discussion, education, and collaboration on pressing public policy issues affecting the State of Georgia and beyond; and
WHEREAS, members of the Public Policy Club actively promote civic participation by encouraging student involvement in advocacy, public service, and democratic processes; and
WHEREAS, the organization fosters professional development by connecting students with policymakers, public servants, community leaders, and policy professionals through events, discussions, and experiential learning opportunities; and
WHEREAS, the Public Policy Club contributes to Georgia State University’s mission as an urban research institution by engaging students in policy discussions that reflect the diverse communities of metropolitan Atlanta and the State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, the club’s activities cultivate informed, engaged citizens who are prepared to contribute thoughtfully and responsibly to public discourse and policymaking; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to recognize student organizations that strengthen civic education, encourage public engagement, and promote thoughtful analysis of public policy issues.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend and recognize the Public Policy Club at Georgia State University for its dedication to civic engagement, public policy education, and service to the student body and the broader community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to f the Public Policy Club at Georgia State University and to the university administration.
