A RESOLUTION

Honoring the life and memory of Brian Daniel Waters; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens with the passing of Brian Daniel Waters on January 28, 2026; and

WHEREAS, Brian Daniel Waters was born on September 14, 1965, in Montgomery, Alabama; and

WHEREAS, unwaveringly committed to his community, Brian served as a dedicated board member and president of PAWS Humane for almost a decade; created the Barks and Blues Concert Series, their annual fundraiser that is still enjoyed every spring along the banks of the Chattahoochee River; and served as a board member for Midtown Columbus Incorporated for four years; and

WHEREAS, Brian's voice can be heard internationally in promotions for clients such as DC Comics Show, Washington Golf Show, the Virginia Lottery, the Washington Capitols, Bojangles, Denny's, Chevrolet, Jeep/Ram, Dodge, Volkswagen, the Price is Right stage, and others; and

WHEREAS, Brain's leadership in the broadcast radio industry is distinguished by a history of superior ratings, team building, and mentoring; his love for music was evident in every project he undertook, and his dedication to excellence inspired generations of radio programmers and personalities; and

WHEREAS, he gave inspiration to many through his generous spirit, high ideals, morals, and deep concern for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he demonstrated to his family, friends, and colleagues were admired by others; and

WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he made this world a better place in which to live; and

WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, Brian Daniel Waters will long be remembered for his love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who had the great fortune of knowing him.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory of Brian Daniel Waters and express their deepest and most sincere regret at his passing. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the family of Brian Daniel Waters.
