## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia House resolution commends Angela Watkins for receiving the Leadership Excellence Award for her work in long-term and post-acute care.

### Plain-language summary

This is a ceremonial resolution from the Georgia House of Representatives, not a change to state law. It recognizes Angela Watkins, who received the Leadership Excellence Award from Stars in Long Term Care, an award program run by a Georgia health care association that honors outstanding long-term and post-acute care professionals.
The resolution states that Watkins has shown wisdom, strength of character, and kindness in her work serving elderly and disabled Georgians. The House formally commends her and extends best wishes for her continued health and happiness. It also directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare a copy of the resolution for Watkins.

### What it does

- Formally commends Angela Watkins by name for receiving the Leadership Excellence Award from Stars in Long Term Care.
- States the House's recognition of long-term and post-acute care professionals who serve elderly and disabled Georgians.
- Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare a copy of the resolution for distribution to Watkins.
- Extends the House's best wishes to Watkins for continued health and happiness.

### Who it affects

The resolution directly names Angela Watkins, an honoree in Georgia's long-term and post-acute care field. It also touches the broader community of long-term care professionals and the elderly and disabled Georgians they serve, though it creates no legal obligations for them.

### Why it matters

This resolution has no regulatory or funding effect; it is a symbolic honor. Its practical significance is limited to public recognition of Watkins's work and formal documentation that the Georgia House of Representatives took note of her contributions to long-term care.

### Key provisions

- The resolution's whereas clauses describe the Stars in Long Term Care award program and its purpose of honoring long-term and post-acute care professionals.
- The resolved clause formally commends Angela Watkins and extends wishes for her continued health and happiness.
- A further resolved clause directs the Clerk of the House to make a copy available to Watkins.
