A RESOLUTION
Honoring Lula Raines of Augusta, Georgia, as she reaches the grand milestone of her 90th
birthday; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, born on February 24, 1936, Lula Raines was a cherished gift to the world,
destined to fill countless hearts with warmth, love, and immeasurable joy; and
WHEREAS, a devout and active member of the Greater Apostolic Holy Temple, Lula serves
as an exemplary role model, a beacon of love, and source of profound inspiration, and a
wellspring of encouragement to congregants of all generations; and
WHEREAS, throughout her 90 years, Lula has been a living witness to a remarkable sweep
of history and pivotal events that many now only read about in history books; and
WHEREAS, having earned the cherished title "Queen of our Hearts," Lula is commended
for her steadfast and unconditional love for her children and family at large; and
WHEREAS, her love is exemplified by her selfless devotion, invaluable guidance, and
boundless commitment to fostering unity, compassion, and a deep respect for the authenticity
and integrity of each individual; and
WHEREAS, Lula possesses a rare and radiant charm, a gentle kindness, and strong
foundation that nurtures and inspires everyone who knows her; and
WHEREAS, upon reaching the esteemed age of 90, Lula continues to demonstrate profound
humility and gratitude for the myriad of blessings that have graced her long and eventful
journey through life.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body honor Lula Raines upon the grand milestone of her 90th birthday.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Lula
Raines.
