A RESOLUTION
Recognizing Athena Yoo, 2024 GHSA Class 7A Girls Golf Individual State Champion; and
for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Athena Yoo of Lambert High School achieved exceptional distinction during
the Spring 2024 season by winning the Individual Girls Golf State Championship in the
GHSA Class 7A division; and
WHEREAS, at the state championship held May 20-21, 2024, at Sunset Hills Country Club
in Carrollton, Georgia, Athena delivered a two-day score of 140, finishing two strokes under
par and securing the lowest individual score of the tournament; and
WHEREAS, her outstanding performance also contributed to Lambert High School securing
the Girls Golf Team State Championship, marking the program's tenth overall state title and
fifth consecutive championship; and
WHEREAS, Athena's excellence, leadership, and competitive consistency throughout the
2024 season earned her recognition as the Girls Golfer of the Year within her county.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Athena Yoo for her remarkable athletic
accomplishments and for earning the title of 2024 GHSA Class 7A Girls Golf Individual
State Champion.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
Athena Yoo.
