A RESOLUTION

Commending the work of Swipe Out Hunger and recognizing February 11, 2026, as Swipe Out Hunger Day at the capitol; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Swipe Out Hunger is the national nonprofit powering the movement to end college student hunger.; and

WHEREAS, in collaboration with colleges, legislators, and the greater community, Swipe Out Hunger addresses student food insecurity by championing hunger solutions, building an active network of campuses and partners, and evolving the narrative around today’s college students; and

WHEREAS, since 2010, Swipe Out Hunger has enabled 20.5 million meals across more than 900 campuses throughout North America; and

WHEREAS, Swipe Out Hunger is the original architect of the Hunger Free Campus Bill, which sends funding to public colleges who are addressing student hunger on campus; and

WHEREAS, in total, more than $36 million has been distributed through Hunger Free Campus legislation; and

WHEREAS, Hunger Free Campus legislation has passed in more than 10 states, and has been introduced in several more, including the State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, Swipe Out Hunger continuously engages with students, campus administration, legislators, organizations, and other stakeholders to learn, evolve, and collaborate on addressing student food insecurity by championing hunger solutions; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper to honor the outstanding advocacy of this exceptional organization.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend the work of Swipe Out Hunger and recognize February 11, 2026, as Swipe Out Hunger Day at the capitol.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
