A RESOLUTION

Honoring Kelsie "West Love" Davis for her musical achievements and positive representation of Valdosta, Georgia; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to recognize individuals whose talent, dedication, and perseverance bring distinction to their communities and serve as a source of pride and inspiration to others; and

WHEREAS, West Love, professionally known by her stage name and born Kelsie Davis, is a nationally touring musical artist who was raised in Valdosta, Georgia, and whose journey reflects both the cultural richness and creative spirit of South Georgia; and

WHEREAS, West Love began her musical foundation singing in church and local venues, developing a powerful and authentic voice that later evolved into a successful career in Southern soul, R&B, and blues music; and

WHEREAS, through years of dedication and hard work, she has performed on stages across the United States, appearing at festivals, concerts, and tours, and sharing the stage with well-known artists within the Southern soul and blues genres; and

WHEREAS, her growing national presence has brought positive attention to her hometown of Valdosta, Georgia, demonstrating that talent nurtured in local communities can reach audiences far beyond state lines; and

WHEREAS, West Love's career serves as an example of perseverance, artistic excellence, and commitment to one's craft, inspiring aspiring artists and young people to pursue their dreams while remaining grounded in their roots.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend and honor Kelsie "West Love" Davis for her accomplishments as a musical artist, her national touring success, and her positive representation of Valdosta and the State of Georgia.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Kelsie "West Love" Davis.
