A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Pierce County High School cheerleading team for winning the 2025
GHSA Class 2A State Cheerleading Championship; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Pierce County High School cheerleading team has upheld a proud tradition
of excellence, demonstrating outstanding athleticism, dedication, and school spirit; and
WHEREAS, the team earned the 2025 GHSA Class 2A State Cheerleading Championship,
showcasing exceptional skill, precision, and teamwork throughout the season; and
WHEREAS, this championship marks a consecutive state title for the program and the ninth
state championship in the school's history, reflecting a legacy of excellence and
perseverance; and
WHEREAS, the success of this remarkable team is a testament to the leadership, guidance,
and commitment of Coaches Mandy Beverly and Megan Nix, whose mentorship was
instrumental in achieving this accomplishment; and
WHEREAS, the championship team was composed of the following talented
student-athletes: Suzanna Carrin, Mollie Williams, Mylee Simmons, Aniston Allen, Abby
Reese Wright, Sarah Kate Echols, Macy Thornton, Addie Jordan, Blakely Varnadore, Anslie
Allen, Julia Swain, Charley Taylor, Jacy Barber, Blakeli Rentz, Mylie Cason, Jill Brogdon,
and Nayla Andreae; and
WHEREAS, the Pierce County High School cheerleading team has brought great pride to its
school and community, earning a reputation for excellence, sportsmanship, and the relentless
pursuit of success both on and off the competition floor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
congratulate the Pierce County High School cheerleading team on winning the 2025 GHSA
Class 2A State Cheerleading Championship and extend best wishes to the players, coaches,
and supporters for continued success in all future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Pierce County
High School cheerleading team.
