## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia House resolution formally commends the Association of Georgia General Aviation Airports for its work supporting the state's 95 general aviation airports and their economic impact.

### Plain-language summary

This is a ceremonial resolution from the Georgia House of Representatives, not a change to state law. It recognizes the Association of Georgia General Aviation Airports (AGGAA), a nonprofit founded in 2021 that promotes general aviation airports across Georgia, offers education and scholarships, and advocates for airport infrastructure improvements.
The resolution states that Georgia has 95 general aviation airports supporting industries like technology, manufacturing, tourism, and agriculture, with an economic impact of more than $2 billion. It lists AGGAA's board members by name and airport affiliation. The resolution directs the Clerk of the House to prepare a copy for distribution to the association as a formal honor.

### What it does

- Formally recognizes the Association of Georgia General Aviation Airports for its contributions to general aviation airports in Georgia.
- States factual findings about the economic role of Georgia's 95 general aviation airports, including a claimed $2 billion economic impact.
- Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare and distribute a copy of the resolution to the association.
- Does not create, amend, or repeal any Georgia statute or regulation.

### Who it affects

The resolution directly names and honors the Association of Georgia General Aviation Airports and its listed board members, who manage airports such as Athens-Ben Epps, Cobb County International, and Newnan-Coweta County. It has no binding legal effect on the public.

### Why it matters

Because this is a commendation rather than a law, it has no direct effect on airport funding, safety rules, or aviation regulations in Georgia. Its main practical effect is public recognition of the association and a formal record of its work, delivered as a printed copy.

### Key provisions

- The resolution's whereas clauses describe Georgia's 95 general aviation airports and their $2 billion economic impact.
- It states AGGAA was founded in 2021 to promote general aviation airports and share information and education.
- It names AGGAA's board members, including its Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Past Chair, and Legislative Liaison.
- The resolving clause formally recognizes AGGAA and extends best wishes for its future success.
- The final clause directs the Clerk of the House to make a copy available for distribution to AGGAA.
