A RESOLUTION
Congratulating Mr. Terry Cummings upon his induction as an Honorary Member of 100 Black Men of DeKalb County; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Mr. Terry Cummings has demonstrated a lifetime of excellence, leadership, and dedication both on and off the basketball court; and
WHEREAS, a former NBA All-Star and NBA Rookie of the Year, Mr. Cummings built a distinguished professional basketball career marked by discipline, perseverance, and elite performance; and
WHEREAS, as an NBA Hall of Fame nominee, he has earned national recognition for his contributions to the sport and for serving as a role model to aspiring athletes and young leaders across the nation; and
WHEREAS, beyond athletics, Mr. Cummings has remained committed to mentorship, leadership development, and uplifting communities through service and engagement; and
WHEREAS, the 100 Black Men of DeKalb County is an esteemed organization dedicated to mentoring youth, promoting educational excellence, fostering economic empowerment, and strengthening families and communities; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding achievements of Mr. Terry Cummings and his induction as a new honorary member of 100 Black Men of DeKalb County be recognized by this body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body congratulate Mr. Terry Cummings upon his induction as an honorary member of 100 Black Men of DeKalb County, commend him for his professional accomplishments and community leadership, and extend best wishes for continued success and service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to Mr. Terry Cummings and to the leadership of 100 Black Men of DeKalb County.
