A RESOLUTION
Recognizing February 24, 2026, as HHCP Day at the capitol; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Help for Healthcare Professionals (HHCP) delivers measurable results, offering innovative solutions to Georgia's healthcare workforce crisis demands; and
WHEREAS, since 2020, HHCP, a nurse-owned nonprofit, has served over 25,000 healthcare professionals across 26 counties, raised $481,750, and secured federal grant funding-validating their model; and
WHEREAS, HHCP graduated 65 future physicians, launched a nationwide career exposure platform, awarded scholarships from high school through college, and serves as Georgia State Lead for the national Nurses Shift Change coalition; and
WHEREAS, its crisis response capability is proven: $80,000 in Jamaica disaster relief coordinated with an international Ministry of Health in just three months as well as strategic partnerships with NFL Alumni Georgia and Clayton State University demonstrate cross-sector impact; and
WHEREAS, under the leadership of Shelli-Ann McKenzie, a registered nurse with 28 years of experience and Georgia Commission on Women Ambassador, HHCP builds sustainable pipelines addressing workforce shortages before they become crises; and
WHEREAS, HHCP provides a scalable, evidence-based impact that the State of Georgia needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize February 24, 2026, as HHCP Day at the capitol. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Help for Healthcare Professionals.
