A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Ms. Ashley Rodriguez; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Ms. Ashley Rodriguez, founder of the Throw It In The Bag community initiative under Astrolee Vibes Event Coordination, has demonstrated exceptional civic leadership by launching a grassroots effort in 2022 that has mobilized citizens across Columbus, Georgia, toward environmental stewardship and community revitalization; and

WHEREAS, since its inception, the initiative has conducted organized quarterly cleanups, averaging three major cleanups annually across multiple districts within Columbus, Georgia, including historically significant and underserved communities, strengthening neighborhood pride and environmental responsibility; and

WHEREAS, the initiative consistently engages an average of 20 volunteers per cleanup, providing structured roles, safety resources, and community collaboration opportunities that foster unity, accountability, and positive civic participation; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Rodriguez has prioritized youth development by issuing verified community service credit letters for student volunteers and awarding a $500 college scholarship in 2025 to a graduating senior in recognition of service and academic commitment; and

WHEREAS, through partnerships with local businesses, schools, civic organizations, and community stakeholders, the initiative has expanded its reach and visibility, reinforcing the principle that sustained collaboration strengthens both environmental outcomes and economic vitality; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Rodriguez's vision to establish Throw It In The Bag as a central community service hub for the Muscogee County School District reflects a long-term commitment to leadership development, civic pride, youth empowerment, and community sustainability.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Ms. Ashley Rodriguez and exted their sincere best wishes for her continued health, happiness, and success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Ms. Ashley Rodriguez.
