House Resolution 1443 By: Representatives Bazemore of the 69th, Hugley of the 141st, Neal of the 79th, Herring of the 145th, Kendrick of the 95th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Jasmine Stamper; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, Jasmine Stamper, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, is a student at Spelman College, majoring in Health Science; and WHEREAS, in 2022, along with her two peers, Ariel Hibbert and Aubrey Allen, she co-founded Telepsy, an app for individuals with epilepsy; and WHEREAS, the award-winning app is used to aid individuals in managing their epilepsy by providing information and tools that can be used to make a difference in their daily lives; and WHEREAS, Telepsy has features such as the ability to locate nearby hospitals based on your current location, appointment reminders for doctor visits, a seizure timer, and direct access to emergency services like 911; and WHEREAS, Jasmine has demonstrated a commitment to improving healthcare access, supporting the epilepsy community, and leveraging technology for health solutions; and WHEREAS, her dedication and passionate work have earned her numerous prestigious awards including the 2024-2025 President's Lifetime Achievement Award, 2023 Congressional App Challenge Winner, and 2022 HOSA International Leadership Conference Medical Innovation 1st Place Winner; and WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Jasmine Stamper and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Jasmine Stamper.
