A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the Liberty County, Fulton County, and DeKalb County Youth Commissions for their continued service and leadership development efforts within the community; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Georgia House of Representatives takes great pride in recognizing organizations that dedicate themselves to the growth, development, and empowerment of Georgia's youth; and
WHEREAS, the Liberty County, Fulton County, and DeKalb County Youth Commissions' student-participants acquire greater knowledge and appreciation for the political system through active participation in local government and serve as a voice on issues affecting the lives of young people in Georgia; and
WHEREAS, these organizations provide meaningful opportunities for young people to develop essential leadership skills, strengthen their sense of civic responsibility, and engage in service projects that benefit the citizens of the State of Georgia, such as hosting a food and hygiene kit drive for the homeless and participating in the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade; and
WHEREAS, the Liberty County, Fulton County, and DeKalb County Youth Commissions' continued service and leadership development efforts have made a significant and lasting impact within the community, fostering a new generation of engaged and empowered leaders; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments and contributions of the Liberty County, Fulton County, and DeKalb County Youth Commissions be appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend the Liberty County, Fulton County, and DeKalb County Youth Commissions for their continued service and leadership development efforts within the community as well as extend best wishes for continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the Liberty County, Fulton County, and DeKalb County Youth Commissions.
