House Resolution 1468

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Lynn Bayonne; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Lynn Bayonne is a first-generation Haitian American with over 25 years of experience in Health Administration and Employee Support Services; and

WHEREAS, she proudly served the City of Atlanta as an Employee Assistance Program

(EAP) Case Manager, supporting public safety employees and their families across all city departments; and

WHEREAS, Lynn's significant organizational and leadership talents, remarkable patience and diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates; and

WHEREAS, in addition to her professional career, she made history as the first Haitian American elected to the City of Clarkston, City Council; and

WHEREAS, for more than 15 years she has remained committed to community service by assisting local schools as a parent advocate, serving as a team mom for youth sports, and mentoring teens through college preparation and life development; and

WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved through overcoming the many challenges of life; and

WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Lynn Bayonne for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Lynn Bayonne.
