## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia House resolution would name the bridge on State Route 16 over Rocky Comfort Creek in Warren County the Gettis C. McGhee, Sr. Memorial Bridge in his honor.

### Plain-language summary

This resolution honors Gettis Cortez McGhee, Sr., a Warren County man who worked ten years for the Georgia Department of Transportation and was a longtime member of New Hope Powelton Baptist Church. It recounts his birth, education at Hancock Central High School, and community involvement.
The resolution's operative effect is to officially dedicate the bridge on State Route 16 over Rocky Comfort Creek in Warren County as the Gettis C. McGhee, Sr. Memorial Bridge.
