A RESOLUTION
Honoring Veroniece P. Marable for 41 years of distinguished service in education; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Veroniece P. Marable has devoted 41 years of exemplary service to the field of education in the Atlanta area, demonstrating unwavering dedication, integrity, and an enduring commitment to the success of students; and
WHEREAS, throughout her distinguished career, she has consistently modeled excellence in instruction and leadership, earning the honor of being named Teacher of the Year on two occasions in recognition of her outstanding impact on student achievement and professional excellence; and
WHEREAS, as a Success for All Facilitator, Veroniece P. Marable played a pivotal role in strengthening literacy outcomes, mentoring fellow educators, and implementing data-driven instructional strategies that enhanced school-wide academic performance and cultivated a culture of continuous improvement; and
WHEREAS, her classroom has served as more than a place of academic instruction, it has been a nurturing and safe environment where children felt valued, encouraged, and empowered to believe in their limitless potential; and
WHEREAS, the foundation of her character and leadership was instilled early in life by Thomas and Minion Peters, who taught her the enduring values of integrity, discipline, compassion, faith, and service to others; and
WHEREAS, as one of twelve children, she learned the power of resilience, responsibility, and teamwork–principles that would later shape her teaching philosophy and her profound understanding of the needs of children and families; and
WHEREAS, her commitment to lifelong learning is reflected in her academic achievements as a proud alumna of The Ohio State University, a graduate of Fort Valley State University, and a graduate of the University of Georgia, accomplishments that further strengthened her leadership and expertise in education; and
WHEREAS, colleagues admire her wisdom and mentorship, families trust her dedication and compassion, and generations of former students credit her as a life-changing influence who believed in them before they believed in themselves; and
WHEREAS, her legacy is not measured solely by titles or awards, but by the countless lives she has shaped and the lasting imprint she has made on the community through her steadfast belief in every child's potential.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and honor Veroniece P. Marable for her extraordinary service, leadership, and unwavering devotion to education and the children of the Atlanta community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of this body encourage all to follow her guiding motto: "love every child, ignite a passion for learning, and change the world one student at a time."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Veroniece P. Marable.
