## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A House resolution would name the State Route 5BU and Howell Bridge Road roundabout in Cherokee County the Eric W. Wilmarth Roundabout, honoring the former Ball Ground City Manager.

### Plain-language summary

This resolution from the Georgia House of Representatives honors Eric Wilmarth, who served as Ball Ground City Manager, by naming a roundabout after him. The roundabout sits at the intersection of State Route 5BU and Howell Bridge Road in Cherokee County.

The resolution directs the Georgia Department of Transportation to put up and maintain signs marking the dedication. It also directs the Clerk of the House to send copies of the resolution to Mr. Wilmarth and to the Department of Transportation. The resolution does not change any law, spend significant funds, or affect anyone beyond the naming and signage of this one roundabout.

### Who it affects

This mainly affects Eric Wilmarth, who is being honored, the Georgia Department of Transportation, which must install and maintain signage, and residents and drivers in Cherokee County who use the roundabout at State Route 5BU and Howell Bridge Road.

### Why it matters
