A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Dr. Jackie Walters; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Dr. Jackie Walters is a renowned OB-GYN, author, and television personality
who is best known as the longtime star of Bravo's hit series Married to Medicine; and
WHEREAS, she has become a trusted and respected voice in women's health, admired for
her medical expertise, candor, and commitment to empowering women; and
WHEREAS, as a two-time breast cancer survivor, Dr. Walters brings a unique blend of
empathy and expertise to her practice, providing both emotional and physical care for women
navigating complex health issues; and
WHEREAS, she is the founder of 50 Shades of Pink, a nonprofit organization dedicated to
educating and empowering women about early detection and survivorship; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Walters holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of
Mississippi and Alcorn State University as well as a medical degree from the University of
Mississippi School of Medicine—she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology
at the Medical Center of Central Georgia and Mercer University; and
WHEREAS, over two decades ago, Dr. Walters co-founded WOW Medi Spa, a space
dedicated to helping women look and feel their best; and

outstanding career accomplishments as well as extend best wishes for continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.
Jackie Walters.
