A Georgia House resolution formally congratulates the Athens Academy boys varsity basketball team for winning the Region 8-AA Championship during its 2023-2024 season.

### Plain-language summary

This is a ceremonial resolution passed by the Georgia House of Representatives. It does not change any law or create any funding or requirement. Instead, it recognizes the Athens Academy boys varsity basketball team for its 2023-2024 season, in which the team won 23 games and lost only six, the second-best record in school history, and captured its first region championship since 2000.

The resolution praises the team's coach, Don Hurlburt, who was named GHSA (Georgia High School Association) Coach of the Year, and directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare a copy of the resolution for the team.
