WHEREAS, International Women's Day is a globally recognized occasion to celebrate the accomplishments of incredible women who have played an indispensable role in shaping our societies, economies, and cultures; breaking barriers; and driving positive change; and WHEREAS, these exceptional women have inspired and empowered others through their leadership, innovation, creativity, and advocacy for gender equality and women's rights, and their stories serve as a powerful reminder that women have the power to create a more just, inclusive, and prosperous world; and WHEREAS, it is crucial to recognize and honor these women for their immense strength and extraordinary contributions: Essence Johnson, Lettie Johnson, Lori Johnson, Tamiko Jones, Teneeah Joyner, Ebony Karim, Toni Kendrick, Candace Ledbetter, Patrice Lindo, Jill Lindsey, JosCynthia Mason, Elle McGhee, Timeekah Murphy, Juliana Nelson, Drea Nicole, Lex P, Sherie Phillips, Jekwenta Primm, Sandy Robert, Vanetta Roy, Ariel Shaw, Claressa Shields, Edwina Simpson, Jill Strada, Aura Taylor, and Rosalind Thomas. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body, recognize Georgia's 100 Women of Excellence, and express their heartfelt appreciation and admiration for all the phenomenal women who have made a significant impact and extend best wishes for continued success and empowerment. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the public and the press.
