House Resolution 1690
By: Representative Jones of the 60th
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Conor Farnsworth; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Conor Farnsworth has shown by the example of his accomplishments that the
pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within reach of the students in this state; and
WHEREAS, Conor is a resident of House District 60 and a stellar ninth grade student at
North Atlanta High School; and
WHEREAS, Conor is a member of the North Atlanta High School marching band, where he
is in the drum line and plays the bass drum, and the school's symphonic band, where he plays
percussion; and
WHEREAS, this honor roll student is bilingual in Spanish, participating in Atlanta Public
School's dual language immersion program since kindergarten; and
WHEREAS, a talented soccer player, Conor demonstrates the focus and time management
skills required of student athletes, maintaining a 3.5 grade point average while juggling
school work with band and soccer practices; and
WHEREAS, Conor brings great pride and honor to his family, school, and classmates with
his commitment to academics, musical talents, and athletic abilities; and
WHEREAS, the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation toward the future of this
bright and promising young citizen.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Conor Farnsworth for his
accomplishments and extend best wishes for his continued success in his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Conor
Farnsworth.
