A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinidad and honoring Pastors Ronal Monroy and Maria Mercedes Monroy on the occasion of their 16th pastoral anniversary; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinidad is a Pentecostal church located in Doraville, Georgia, and was founded on March 3, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the church is led by Pastors Ronal Monroy and Maria Mercedes Monroy, who are celebrating their 16th pastoral anniversary and whose faithful leadership and dedication to ministry have had a meaningful and lasting impact on their congregation and the surrounding communities; and
WHEREAS, since its founding, Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinidad has faithfully served those in need by feeding the homeless and spreading the Gospel throughout downtown Atlanta and in the city of Gainesville; and
WHEREAS, during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the church established a radio ministry titled A Drop in the Desert, which broadcasts live every Monday and continue to share the Good News of the Gospel with listeners beyond the church walls; and
WHEREAS, the church also maintains a compassionate outreach ministry in which a group of dedicated women regularly visit patients at local hospitals, including Northside Hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital, Emory University Hospital, and St. Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta, offering prayer, encouragement, and spiritual support to those facing illness and hardship; and
WHEREAS, the church has also established a prison ministry known as Life Behind Bars, which serves individuals within Georgia state correctional facilities by sharing the Gospel and reminding incarcerated individuals that they are not forgotten and that God has the power to transform lives; and
WHEREAS, the church leads an evangelism outreach initiative known as Water for the Thirsty, inspired by the teachings found in the Book of Isaiah 55:1 and dedicated to bringing the message of hope and salvation to those who are spiritually seeking; and
WHEREAS, Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinidad is also deeply committed to nurturing the next generation through programs and events designed to encourage children and youth to grow in their faith and develop a personal relationship with God; and
WHEREAS, the church organizes revival and evangelistic events both nationally and internationally, including outreach efforts in Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, and in Norcross, proclaiming the Gospel of Christ with the mission that every soul may be saved and not perish; and
WHEREAS, through faithful leadership and dedication to ministry, Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinidad has grown to establish eight daughter churches throughout the United States, including congregations in Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Indiana, and Alabama; and
WHEREAS, through courage, compassion, and unwavering faith, the pastors and congregation of Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinidad continue to reach communities where few are willing to go, spreading the Gospel of Christ and proclaiming the message that while there is life, there is hope; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding service, ministry, and community outreach of Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinidad and its pastors be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinidad and honor Pastors Ronal Monroy and Maria Mercedes Monroy upon the celebration of their 16th pastoral anniversary and recognize their faithful ministry, dedication to spreading the Gospel, and commitment to serving those in need.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinidad and Pastors Ronal Monroy and Maria Mercedes Monroy.
