House Resolution 1693
By: Representative Jones of the 60th
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Soha Subramanian; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Soha Subramanian has shown by the example of her accomplishments that the
pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within reach of the students in this state; and
WHEREAS, Soha is a resident of House District 60 and an exemplary seventh-grade student
at the Westminster School; and
WHEREAS, an active debater with the Westminster Debate Club, Soha has been recognized
with speaker awards from competitions hosted by the Atlanta Urban Debate League, the
University of Kentucky, and Georgetown University; and
WHEREAS, Soha's passion for debate and policy extends to her participation as a Model
United Nations delegate; and
WHEREAS, Soha brings great pride and honor to her family, school, and classmates with
her commitment to academics, astute communication skills, and persuasive prowess; and
WHEREAS, the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation toward the future of this
bright and promising young citizen.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Soha Subramanian for her academic
excellence and extend best wishes for her continued success in her future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Soha
Subramanian.
