A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the U.S. United Pageant System; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the U.S. United Pageant System was established to promote health, fitness and inner beauty among women and young ladies of all ethnic groups while producing positive role models for the community; and
WHEREAS, created by Marchia Mickens in 2003, the U.S. United Pageant System serves as a way for her to give back to the community; and
WHEREAS, the U.S. United Pageant System recognizes outstanding young ladies, women, and now men, for their outstanding personal, professional and community achievements; and
WHEREAS, since its founding, 23 years ago, the U.S. United Pageant System has recognized over 250 exemplary young ladies, women, and men, for their outstanding personal, professional, and community achievements; and
WHEREAS, the national platform of the U.S. United Pageant System is breast cancer awareness and research.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend the U.S. United Pageant System and its many participants, as well as extend their sincere best wishes for its continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the U.S. United Pageant System.
