A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Cornerstone Baptist Church PTC on the occasion of its 15th anniversary; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the seeds which were sown by the loving and humble efforts of the founding worshipers of Cornerstone Baptist Church PTC have blossomed, establishing a rich tradition and history; and

WHEREAS, organized in January 2010, the church held its initial worship services at the Wyndham Conference Center in Peachtree City before relocating to the Peachtree City Seventh Day Adventist Church in Sharpsburg, Georgia; and

WHEREAS, after a season at Peachtree City Seventh Day Adventist Church, the congregation secured another temporary worship space at the Divine World Community Church in Tyrone, Georgia; and

WHEREAS, in July 2012, just two years after its founding, Cornerstone Baptist Church PTC finally obtained its permanent worship campus in Fayetteville, Georgia, spanning 21 acres of land; and

WHEREAS, the story of Cornerstone Baptist Church PTC is one of triumph through the grace and sustaining power of God, and it stands as an immovable witness to the truth that God keeps His promise; and

WHEREAS, the congregation of this church has compiled an unparalleled record of constructive, compassionate, and humanitarian service which it demonstrates daily through open minds, open hearts, and open doors; and

WHEREAS, the members of Cornerstone Baptist Church PTC have a sincere desire to serve the Lord and are wholeheartedly committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for its innumerable good works rendered on behalf of persons in need.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize the rich history of Cornerstone Baptist Church PTC, commend its 15 years of dedicated service to the Lord and its community, and extend the warmest best wishes for its continued growth and success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Cornerstone Baptist Church PTC.
