By: Representatives Kendrick of the 95th, Hugley of the 141st, and Jones of the 143rd
A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Lambda Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Incorporated, upon its 50th anniversary; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, for five decades, the Lambda Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha
Sorority, Incorporated, has proudly served the DeKalb County community through
community outreach, education, mentorship, scholarship, and numerous impactful service
initiatives; and
WHEREAS, the organization's enduring commitment to these principals continues to inspire
both members and those it serves; and
WHEREAS, the 50th anniversary of the Lambda Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa
Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, will be celebrated on June 27, 2026, at the Georgia
International Convention Center in College Park, Georgia, representing half a century of
dedication and commitment to uplifting the community and making a meaningful difference;
and
WHEREAS, the event will bring together members, community leaders, supporters, and
guests to reflect on the organization's legacy, celebrate the impact of its work, and catapult
it into the next 50 years of service to DeKalb County; and
WHEREAS, as the Lambda Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Incorporated, celebrates this monumental anniversary, it is a time to reflect on the vision of
its founders, the dedication of past and present members, and recognize the lasting influence
the organization has had in the State of Georgia.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body congratulate the Lambda Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa
Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, upon its 50th anniversary and extend their sincere best wishes
for its continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the
Lambda Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
