A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the New Leaders Council and the New Leaders Council
Atlanta Chapter; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the New Leaders Council is a national nonpartisan leadership development
organization founded in 2005 to cultivate the next generation of civic and public leaders
across the United States; and
WHEREAS, through its flagship Institute program, the New Leaders Council provides
intensive training in public policy, governance, coalition building, fundraising,
communications, and ethical leadership, equipping emerging leaders with the skills necessary
to serve their communities and strengthen democratic institutions; and
WHEREAS, the New Leaders Council has trained thousands of alumni nationwide who now
serve in elected office, lead nonprofit organizations, manage public agencies, and hold
executive leadership roles in the private sector, demonstrating the broad impact of the
organization's commitment to leadership development; and
WHEREAS, the New Leaders Council Atlanta Chapter has become one of the strongest
chapters in the country, selecting a competitive annual cohort of emerging leaders from
across sectors including government, nonprofit organizations, advocacy, business, and
community organizing; and
WHEREAS, the New Leaders Council Atlanta Institute equips fellows with practical tools,
professional mentorship, and cross sector networks that strengthen Georgia's civic
infrastructure and help build a strong and diverse leadership pipeline for the future of our
state; and
WHEREAS, alumni of the New Leaders Council Atlanta Chapter continue to serve the
people of Georgia in meaningful and impactful ways, including serving as elected leaders,
leading nonprofit and community organizations, managing campaigns, shaping public policy,
and advancing innovative solutions to issues affecting communities across this state; and
WHEREAS, the work of the New Leaders Council and its Atlanta chapter contributes
significantly to the development of ethical, effective, and community focused leadership that
benefits the State of Georgia and its citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend the New Leaders Council and the New
Leaders Council Atlanta Chapter for their dedication to cultivating the next generation of
civic leaders and for their continued contributions to strengthening communities throughout
Georgia.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the
New Leaders Council Atlanta Chapter.
