A RESOLUTION
Commending the outstanding achievements of the National Beta Club and National
Elementary Honor Society students of Beauty P. Baldwin Elementary School; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, Beauty P. Baldwin Elementary School is named in honor of Beauty P. Baldwin,
who made history as the first Black woman to serve as a school superintendent in the State
of Georgia and whose legacy of leadership and educational excellence continues to inspire
students and educators alike; and
WHEREAS, the school proudly hosts chapters of the National Beta Club and the National
Elementary Honor Society, both of which recognize and promote high academic
achievement, leadership, character, service, and citizenship among elementary school
students; and
WHEREAS, membership in these distinguished organizations is a reflection of students'
dedication to excellence in the classroom, commitment to service within their community,
and the development of strong character and leadership skills at a young age; and
WHEREAS, a group of fourth and fifth grade members of the National Beta Club and
National Elementary Honor Society from Beauty P. Baldwin Elementary School are being
honored with a special educational visit to the Georgia State Capitol, where they will learn
about the legislative process, civic responsibility, and the workings of state government; and
WHEREAS, this visit serves not only as a celebration of their accomplishments but also as
an opportunity to encourage civic engagement and inspire the next generation of leaders in
the State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding achievements and
promising futures of these exceptional students be honored by the members of this body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body commend the National Beta Club and National Elementary Honor
Society students of Beauty P. Baldwin Elementary School for their academic excellence,
leadership, and service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the
students, faculty, and administration of Beauty P. Baldwin Elementary School.
