A RESOLUTION
Commending Ramielle Moorer, Clayton County Public Schools' 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young people, and Ramielle Moorer exemplifies the selfless dedication that is characteristic of our finest teachers; and
WHEREAS, Ramielle Moorer began her teaching career in 2011 at Forest Park Middle School and later served as a music specialist at Suder Elementary for five years, during which time she prepared numerous students for the Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) Fine Arts Magnet Track; and
WHEREAS, since 2017, she has served as the director of choral activities at Riverdale Middle School, leading school wide morale-building initiatives, chairing the Hospitality Committee, and sharing her expertise as the lead teacher mentor; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure with CCPS, she has obtained Level 1 Orff-Schulwerk Certification and has further served as the fine arts integration lead for the ArtsNow: Engaging Minds Grant; and
WHEREAS, in 2020, she contributed to the development of music education as the CCPS fine arts curriculum writing lead for middle school chorus and general music; and
WHEREAS, she has additionally played a key role in organizing the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) District VI Middle School Chorus Large Group Performance Evaluation since 2020; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of such remarkable contributions to the education and welfare of Georgia's students, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Ramielle Moorer, Clayton County Public Schools' 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year, and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Ramielle Moorer.
