A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending the Lambert High School iGEM Team for its outstanding achievements at the 2025 iGEM Grand Jamboree; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Lambert High School iGEM Team (Lambert iGEM) represented the State of Georgia and the United States at the 2025 iGEM Grand Jamboree held in Paris, France; and

WHEREAS, the 2025 Lambert iGEM Team was led by team captains Avani Karthik and Sean Lee, with co-captains Harsha Poonepalle, Shashwat Balamurali, and Vedant Kalipatnapu, and consisted of the following dedicated members: Aiden Lee, Amy Jing, Aria Im, Arjun Gulati, Claire Lee, Jeremy Chen, Jiwoo Han, Julia Rho, Keerthana Anumukonda, Nishchai Chawla, Reva Badkundri, Rohan Kaushik, Sahasra Tatavarti, Sankalp Yeleti, and Veda Vudithyala; and

WHEREAS, the team was supported by faculty advisors Catherine Sharer, Cathy O'Haver, and Jes O'Kelley, who provided scientific guidance, administrative support, and mentorship throughout the competition season; and

WHEREAS, Lambert iGEM presented an advanced synthetic-biology project that achieved placement among the Top 10 high school teams worldwide at the 2025 Grand Jamboree; and

WHEREAS, the 2025 project earned multiple international nominations, including Best Model, Best Education, Best Wiki, Best Village Project, and Best Software Tool, demonstrating excellence across scientific communication, computational modeling, community engagement, and technical innovation; and

WHEREAS, Lambert iGEM was awarded the 2025 Best Software Tool honor, distinguishing the team as the top high-school recipient of this global award and highlighting their technical achievement in computational biology; and

WHEREAS, these achievements reflect the team's commitment to scientific rigor, creativity, collaborative research, and service to the broader scientific community; and

WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the Lambert iGEM Team bring great pride to Lambert High School, the Forsyth County School District, and the State of Georgia.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend the Lambert High School iGEM Team for its exceptional performance at the 2025 iGEM Grand Jamboree and extend best wishes for continued success in future scientific endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to Lambert High School and the 2025 Lambert iGEM Team.
