A RESOLUTION
Honoring the life and memory of Master Derrick De'Quan Taylor; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished young citizens with the passing of Master Derrick De'Quan Taylor on September 27, 2024; and
WHEREAS, Master Derrick De'Quan Taylor was born on June 10, 2020, a beloved son of Herbert Taylor, Jr., and Crystal Dunn Taylor; and
WHEREAS, a pre-K student and Ridge Road Primary School, Derrick loved doing his work and playing in center time; and
WHEREAS, at school Derrick was a kind and loving friend, who gave the best hugs and high fives; and
WHEREAS, Derrick will long be remembered for his love of cowboy boots, graham crackers, the color blue, monster trucks, and his family's dog; and
WHEREAS, a compassionate and kind-hearted young boy, Derrick will be missed by all who had the great fortune of knowing him.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory of Master Derrick De'Quan Taylor and express their deepest and most sincere regret at his passing. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the family of Master Derrick De'Quan Taylor.
