By: Representatives Reese of the 140th, Hugley of the 141st, Glaize of the 67th, Crawford of
the 89th, and Olaleye of the 59th
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals and
the Urban League of the River Valley Young Professionals; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals (ULGA-YP) is an
organization dedicated to empowering young professionals in the metro Atlanta area,
fostering leadership development, and advocating for social and economic equality; and
WHEREAS, the Urban League of the River Valley Young Professionals (ULRV-YP) is
dedicated to serving the young professionals working in the River Valley region; and
WHEREAS, this year, the Columbus Chapter of the ULRV-YP is celebrating its 10th
anniversary; and
WHEREAS, the ULGA-YP and ULRV-YP have consistently demonstrated a commitment
to community service, education, and civic engagement, thereby contributing to the
betterment of this state; and
WHEREAS, the ULGA-YP and ULRV-YP have played pivotal roles in addressing pressing
issues such as education, workforce development, and social justice, working towards
creating a more equitable and inclusive society.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend the Urban League of Greater Atlanta
Young Professionals and the Urban League of the River Valley Young Professionals for their
unwavering dedication to community service, leadership development, and advocacy for
social and economic equality.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of this body express their gratitude to the
Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals and the Urban League of the River
Valley Young Professionals for their ongoing efforts to improve the lives of young
professionals and underserved communities in this state.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of this body extend best wishes for
continued success to the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals and the
Urban League of the River Valley Young Professionals in all their future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the
Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals and the Urban League of the River
Valley Young Professionals.
