## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia House resolution honors the Natural Gas Association of Georgia on its 10th anniversary and congratulates the nominees of its 2025 Everyday Energy Heroes campaign.

### Plain-language summary

This resolution is a ceremonial statement from the Georgia House of Representatives, not a change to state law. It recognizes the Natural Gas Association of Georgia, a group of more than 50 companies and municipalities that provide natural gas service across the state, on the occasion of its 10th anniversary in 2025.
The resolution also congratulates seven individuals nominated as Everyday Energy Heroes for 2025, a campaign the association launched to highlight workers in the natural gas industry. It directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare a copy of the resolution for the association. The resolution creates no new requirements, funding, or penalties.

### What it does

- Formally honors the Natural Gas Association of Georgia on the occasion of its 10th anniversary in 2025.
- Congratulates seven named nominees of the association's 2025 Everyday Energy Heroes campaign.
- Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare a copy of the resolution for distribution to the association.

### Who it affects

The Natural Gas Association of Georgia and its member companies and municipalities, the seven named Everyday Energy Heroes nominees, and the Clerk of the House of Representatives, who must prepare a copy of the resolution for distribution.

### Why it matters

The resolution has no legal or financial effect; it is a symbolic gesture of recognition. Its main real-world consequence is that the honored organization and individuals receive an official copy of the House's congratulatory statement.

### Key provisions

- The resolution's whereas clauses describe the association's role serving over 2 million Georgia homes and businesses with natural gas for heating, cooking, and other uses.
- The resolved clause states the House honors the association's 10th anniversary and congratulates the 2025 Everyday Energy Heroes nominees.
- A further resolved clause directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to make a copy available to the association.
