A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Aaron Johnson; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, during the 2026 Legislative Session, Aaron Johnson has served as a legal extern within the Office of the Speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives; and

WHEREAS, he is currently enrolled at the University of Georgia School of Law, where he actively participates in numerous extracurricular activities, and he further serves as a cadet in the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps; and

WHEREAS, during his undergraduate studies in political science, he founded a pre-law fraternity that grew to over 100 members and helped establish Students for Latino Empowerment, an organization dedicated to providing the Latino community with enhanced access to university and continuing education opportunities; and

WHEREAS, Aaron Johnson is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and

WHEREAS, he has served the Office of the Speaker with honor and distinction, and his vision and unyielding commitment to excellence will be sorely missed upon his departure; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Aaron Johnson for his dedicated service during the 2026 Legislative Session and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Aaron Johnson.
