By: Representatives Glaize of the 67th and Burnough of the 77th
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Lady Chi'Ira Oliver; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Lady Chi'Ira Oliver, affectionately known as Lady O, serves as leader of the
Women of Worship ministry of Elizabeth Baptist Church, where she is the personification
of grace and power; and
WHEREAS, a native of Louisiana, and a graduate of Grambling State University and
Southern University A&M College, Lady Oliver has married her intellect with her ingenuity
and has left an indelible impact on women all over the nation through her ministry and
passion for God's people; and
WHEREAS, as leader of the Women of Worship (WOW) ministry of Elizabeth Baptist
Church, Lady Oliver has positioned the women's ministry to become one of the largest and
most impactful ministries within the church; and
WHEREAS, for the past 10 years she has hosted and facilitated both domestic and
international retreats as well as the annual WOW Conference where thousands of women
converge on the City of Atlanta to receive instruction and impartation from speakers and
women of international acclaim and influence; and
WHEREAS, a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., Lady Oliver has been recognized
by several high profile entities throughout the country who have been touched by the imprint
of her grace; and
WHEREAS, she has been honored as a Torch Award Recipient as well as a recipient of the
Unsung Heroine Award in recognition for her leadership and philanthropic achievements;
and
WHEREAS, she was also recognized by the WNBA's Atlanta Dream as an Inspiring Woman
in celebration of her responsible stewardship of the influence she wields in the church and
in the surrounding communities; and
WHEREAS, never one to rest on yesterday's accomplishments as well as an stauch advocate
for safer cosmetics and beauty products, Lady Oliver has began a blazing an entrepreneurial
trail with Beautycounter; and
WHEREAS, Lady Oliver is a distinguished leader who leverages her ingenuity in the
Kingdom of God, the community, and abroad; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the remarkable accomplishments of this
distinguished gentlewoman be appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Lady Chi'Ira Oliver and extend their
sincere best wishes for her continued health, happiness, and success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Lady
Chi'Ira Oliver.
