A RESOLUTION

Recognizing Impact Georgia Day and honoring distinguished Georgians for their contributions to the state and beyond; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Impact Georgia Day recognizes the outstanding individuals of Georgia who have made a lasting impact on their communities and the state as a whole; and

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia has long been home to individuals whose leadership, innovation, and service have strengthened communities and inspired future generations; and

WHEREAS, recognizing these individuals fosters pride, unity, and a shared commitment to progress within our communities; and

WHEREAS, despite facing and overcoming significant adversities, these honorees have represented the State of Georgia on a global stage as entertainers, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists, including Jasiel Amon Robinson, also known as Yung Joc, a Grammy Award-winning artist and actor; Karlie Lewis, also known as Karlie Redd, an accomplished television personality and recording artist; and Nehemiah Davis, a renowned motivational speaker and philanthropist; and

WHEREAS, these individuals have demonstrated impactful leadership, resilience, and courage in breaking barriers and creating opportunities for others; and

WHEREAS, their efforts have paved the way for future generations of Georgians to dream bigger, achieve more, and serve their communities with excellence; and

WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that such impactful individuals be appropriately recognized for their contributions to this state and beyond.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize Impact Georgia Day and commend these outstanding individuals for their enduring contributions to the State of Georgia. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the honorees.
