House Resolution 1930 By: Representatives Prince of the 132nd, Howard of the 129th, and Myles of the 126th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending First Lady Sarah Reynolds Copeland; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, First Lady Sarah Reynolds Copeland has demonstrated her commitment to embodying the Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical, psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs of others; and WHEREAS, First Lady Sarah Reynolds Copeland has spent a lifetime answering God's call to be His messenger and to do His will; and WHEREAS, during her 40-year-long tenure as First Lady of Gardner Grove Baptist Church, she has exemplified grace, humility, and unwavering dedication to the ministry; and WHEREAS, her vision and direction have helped Gardner Grove Baptist Church grow in size and influence, uplifting the community like the light of Bethlehem and serving as a spiritual leader and place for fellowship; and WHEREAS, in addition to her exemplary ministry, she is a distinguished retiree of the Richmond County Board of Education, where she faithfully served as a classified professional within the Professional Learning and Human Resources Departments; and WHEREAS, the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by First Lady Sarah Reynolds Copeland is a source of strength and direction for persons in all walks of life; and WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for her innumerable good works rendered on behalf of persons in need. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend First Lady Sarah Reynolds Copeland for her four decades of wonderful service on behalf of her congregants and extend best wishes for many more years of successful fellowship and leadership. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to First Lady Sarah Reynolds Copeland.
