A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Teresa LaBarham Mitchell; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Teresa LaBarham Mitchell is an entrepreneur and artistic director with over 40
years of experience in performance, artist development, and ministry leadership; and
WHEREAS, through her service as co-founder of the Mitchells Academy of Music and
founder of T-Music Productions, Teresa LaBarham Mitchell blends creative excellence with
compassionate mentorship; and
WHEREAS, her exemplary career has spanned roles in live entertainment, choir
management, and education, including as choir director of the Temple of Miracles Worship
Center and Ushers Temple Church; founder, singer, and manager of Queens Connection
Entertainment; business manager of the Georgia Department of Corrections; and more; and
WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high
ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom
which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved
through overcoming the many challenges of life; and
WHEREAS, Teresa LaBarham Mitchell is a person of magnanimous strengths with an
unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Teresa LaBarham Mitchell for her many
exceptional career achievements and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health
and happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
Teresa LaBarham Mitchell.
