A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Chef Hank Reid; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, with over three decades of industry experience, Chef Hank Reid has devoted his culinary expertise to alleviating food insecurity and nourishing the hearts and souls of those in need; and
WHEREAS, he currently serves as the founder of Lettum Eat Inc., a distinguished nonprofit ministry based in Gwinnett County, Georgia, that provides hot, nutritious meals to individuals and families facing hardships; and
WHEREAS, since its establishment in 2019, Lettum Eat Inc. has served more than 390,000 meals to the food insecure, empowering those in need to regain and restore their self-sufficiency, hope, and dignity; and
WHEREAS, in June 2025, Lettum Eat Inc. was able to invest in the purchase of 7.27 acres known as the Lettum Eat Specialty Farm, representing another sustainable food source and method of providing hands-on agricultural education; and
WHEREAS, Chef Hank Reid has further developed and implemented a strategic plan to place community kitchens in underserved communities in the metro Atlanta area, which will provide high school culinary students with opportunities to volunteer, hone their skills, and gain a better understanding of food insecurity needs within the community; and
WHEREAS, he partners with numerous non-profit organizations in Gwinnett County and throughout metro Atlanta to foster collaboration and meet the needs of underserved individuals; and
WHEREAS, as additional testament to his dedication to helping others, Chef Hank Reid serves on the Gwinnett Coalition Board and speaks at various events and panels regarding food insecurity; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkable individual be appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Chef Hank Reid for his many outstanding contributions on behalf of the citizens of this state as well as extend best wishes for continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Chef Hank Reid.
