A RESOLUTION
Commending Kimberly Postell, Sandtown Middle School's 2025-2026 Professional of the
Year; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young
people, and Kimberly Postell exemplifies the selfless dedication that is characteristic of our
finest academic professionals; and
WHEREAS, with more than 25 years of exemplary service in education, Kimberly Postell
currently holds the dual roles of dean of students and athletic director at Sandtown Middle
School, where she leads with compassion, structure, and empathy; and
WHEREAS, she has further served in a wide range of impactful roles throughout her career,
including as department chair, connections department chair, health and physical education
teacher, and support teacher; and
WHEREAS, her commitment to student growth extends beyond the school year through her
work as a summer online instructor for Fulton Virtual Schools, where she has taught health
and physical education to learners across the district; and
WHEREAS, Kimberly Postell has earned distinction as a result of her dedication to her
students and her profession and has been honored as Sandtown Middle School's 2025-2026
Professional of the Year; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of such remarkable contributions to the education and welfare
of Georgia's students, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the
extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding professional.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body commend Kimberly Postell, Sandtown Middle School's 2025-2026
Professional of the Year, and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
Kimberly Postell.
