A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Lyndy Brannen; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Lyndy Brannen is a Savannah community staple and radio professional best
known for his work on Q105.3, where he has spent over five decades cultivating a personal
connection with his listeners; and
WHEREAS, he began his exemplary career at the age of 15 after landing a job at WSGA,
Savannah's No. 1 Top 40 Station at the time, where he spun the biggest hits and covered
breaking news stories; and
WHEREAS, his passion for radio was sparked by the childhood legends he listened to,
including Dino Summerall, Jim Schira, and Allen Sands; and
WHEREAS, this distinguished gentleman has given inspiration to many through his high
ideals, morals, and deep concern for his fellow citizens, and he possesses the vast wisdom
which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved
through overcoming the many challenges of life; and
WHEREAS, Lyndy Brannen is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable
reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Lyndy Brannen for his over 55 years of
service to the radio industry as well as extend the most sincere best wishes for continued
health, happiness, and success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
Lyndy Brannen.
