House Resolution 1978 By: Representative Cummings of the 39th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Dr. Janet Jackson-Gordon; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, widely recognized as "The Boss Chix," Dr. Janet Jackson-Gordon is an award-winning serial entrepreneur, philanthropist, and trailblazer best known for producing exceptional celebrity events, concerts, and charitable initiatives in Atlanta and beyond; and WHEREAS, she currently serves as founder and CEO of Jackson Events & Entertainment, a premier booking and entertainment agency that curates experiences for corporate partners, community organizations, and private clients; and WHEREAS, throughout her remarkable career, she has collaborated with renowned artists such as Beyoncé, LL Cool J, Snoop Dogg, Monica, and many others, earning respect for her excellence in artist relations and event execution; and WHEREAS, Dr. Janet Jackson-Gordon further serves as founder of Boss Chix ATL, an empowerment platform through which she champions women entrepreneurs by providing business consulting, marketing, promotions, and mentorship; and WHEREAS, deeply committed to philanthropy, she frequently organizes initiatives in support of breast cancer awareness, domestic violence prevention, AIDS research, human and sex trafficking, and autism; and WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved through overcoming the many challenges of life; and WHEREAS, Dr. Janet Jackson-Gordon is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately honored. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Janet Jackson-Gordon for her many exemplary career achievements as well as extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr. Janet Jackson-Gordon.
