A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton sees a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves; and
WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton is led by President and Secretary Dave Bernard, Treasurer Judy Chen, Public Image Chair Tricia Jenkins Quidley, Service Projects Chair Rachel Newcomer, Membership Chair Elizabeth Stansbury, and Foundation Chair Flore Zambou; and
WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton, chartered on March 13, 2013, and sponsored by the Rotary Club of Roswell, has 51 active members and 23 satellite members; and
WHEREAS, members of the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton connect with leaders from the community and the world, expand their network and worldview, and take action to help create lasting change in the community and other communities around the world; and
WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton annually hosts a 9/11 Patriot Day Commemoration, officially known as National Day of Service and Remembrance, and accepts donations to benefit the Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation in memory of the First Responders and innocent civilians who lost their lives that day; and
WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton takes part in a Global Grant project that will improve water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities in six government schools in Nepal, which will serve 502 students and 35 staff, primarily from impoverished backgrounds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton for its many outstanding contributions on behalf of the citizens of this state as well as extend best wishes for continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton.
