A RESOLUTION
Honoring the life and memory of Mr. Henry Harrison; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Mr. Henry Harrison, a cherished resident of Havana, Florida, departed this life on July 20 at the age of 100, marking the close of a century of life defined by faith, service, and devotion; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Harrison was a lifelong resident of Gadsden County and a faithful member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, where he demonstrated unwavering commitment to his faith and his community; and
WHEREAS, he faithfully served as a custodian with the Leon County School Board, where his work contributed to the well-being and success of generations of students and educators; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Harrison was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Dorothy Harrison, and a loving father to his children, Henry Lawrence Harrison, Ricky Harrison, Larry Harrison, Robert Harrison, and Steven Harrison, as well as his daughters, Dorothy Ceasar, Linda Harrison, Andrea Harrison, and Diane Maxwell; and
WHEREAS, he also leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Bessie Manuel, Mattie Brice, Letha Harrison, and Mary Jones, along with a host of grandchildren, extended family members, and friends; and
WHEREAS, his life was a shining example of strength, humility, and dedication, and his legacy will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body honor and recognize the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Mr. Henry Harrison and extend their deepest and most sincere condolences to his family. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the family of Mr. Henry Harrison.
