House Resolution 2008 By: Representatives Evans of the 57th, Ali of the 106th, Buckner of the 137th, Burnough of the 77th, and Holland of the 54th A RESOLUTION Commending Sierra Hallett, a Family and Consumer Sciences Legislative Fellow for the 2026 regular session of the General Assembly of Georgia; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, the Legislative Aide Leadership Fellow Program at the University of Georgia was founded in 1983; and WHEREAS, over 160 University of Georgia Family and Consumer Sciences students have participated in the Legislative Aide Leadership Fellows Program; and WHEREAS, the students selected for the Legislative Aide Leadership Fellow Program represent some of the best and the brightest Family and Consumer Science students at the University of Georgia who share a genuine people-focused policy approach in the law making process and a potential commitment to public service; and WHEREAS, Sierra Hallett was raised in Indonesia and moved to the United States in 2023; and WHEREAS, she was selected to serve in the Office of Georgia State Representative Stacey Evans through the Legislative Aide Leadership Fellow Program; and WHEREAS, Sierra Hallet has shown her leadership skills through earning a prestigious award for leadership speech from the University of Georgia's Student Government Association; and WHEREAS, Sierra Hallett has shown great initiative and acumen in her tracking of vital legislation pertinent to the constituents of House District 57, documenting insight and impressions from committee meetings, and researching District issue concerns; and WHEREAS, Sierra Hallett is one of the hardest working and most reliable interns in the Georgia State Capitol. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Sierra Hallett for her exemplary service during the 2026 regular session of the General Assembly of Georgia and extend sincere best wishes for future success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Sierra Hallett.
