A RESOLUTION

Congratulating the Sonoraville High School Lady Phoenix for winning the 2025 GHSA Class AA State Championship; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Sonoraville High School Lady Phoenix have established and maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and

WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable 2025 campaign, the team captured a state championship title; and

WHEREAS, the team brought special recognition to its school and to Gordon County by winning the 2025 GHSA Class AA State Championship; and

WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the team as well as its superb offensive and defensive talents; and

WHEREAS, this magnificent team performed with precision during the season and earned its well-deserved reputation for high standards of athletic achievement, the quality of its play, and the stiff competition it presented to its opponents; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper to call this magnificent team champions.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body congratulate the theSonoraville High School Lady Phoenix for winning the 2025 GHSA Class AA State Championship and extend best wishes for their continued success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the theSonoraville High School Lady Phoenix.
